I don’t really believe that creative anti-smoking campaign can make smokers quit smoking but this is the best solution for some!

Engaging Discussion.

Thursday lesson was great. Four hours of advertisement chill. So are great ideas really costly? No, in my opinion.

Here’s an example showed in our discussion. Mini Cooper sale campaign for Christmas gift giving.

As Real as it Gets

Posted in Creatives by Jovan on July 17, 2010

Never too late. I’m still inspired by this. ‘As Real as it Gets.’ Depict Photoshop in ‘real life’. It took a week to assemble the ‘tools’ and build the real life-sized set (7x5m). Some of the tools are bought while others were taken from the teams’ own personal collection.

Domino City

Posted in Ad Watcher, Creatives by Jovan on June 26, 2010

All the interesting production lies beneath the making of documentary. For each shot, the correct number of dominos was set up and then set off after the camera rolled. An entire crew of 132 carried the dominos from one location to the next, lined them up, kept them still and set them off. Developed by the regional executive creative director Sonal Dabral! I’ve been watching too much commercial reels recently. Overdose and kind of preparing on what’s ahead of me in two months time. Awesome! A campaign that was exactly 8 years ago and it won 8 awards at Cannes.

Big Ideas don’t get outdated.

Bye May

Posted in Creatives, 白攝 Photography, Weekends by Jovan on May 30, 2010

Friday// Brighthill Temple with Dad // Mum // Mahjong at Home & Dinner + Dylan, Le & Ken

Saturday// Swimming // Dim Sum // Night Safari

Sunday// Home // Dinner with Dad

Three days of ample rest to hold on for my few remaining tough weeks over there. Can’t wait and two more days we will welcome the month of june and thereafter, JULY.

It’s the National Family Celebrations month. Let’s rejoice and reinforce the importance of the family. Time to make personal commitment and have a good dinner with your family.

Tomorrow will be the annual World No Tobacco Day on 31 May. Singapore came out with numerous campaigns to support this. Live it up without lighting up. I like how they executed the posters in the train stations. From a widespread prevalence of tobacco user’s scene, it overwrites into simple illustrations, illustrating the possibilities of living your life without cigarettes.

So, let’s overcome & start our smoke-free journeys!

However, the other side of the news ridiculously emerged a two-year-old boy smoking and shock the health experts. The boy who smokes 40 cigs a day and the family would be investigated for what would be considered a clear case of child abuse in many countries. Watch this.

A new sport which enables you to walk on water, Liquid Mountaineering! Attempting to achieve what man has tried to do for centuries: walk on water. Or to be more precise: running on water. They are developing the sport from scratch. By accident they found out that with the right water repellent equipment you can run across bodies of water, just like a stone skimming the surface.

Liquid mountaineering is performed by professionals under professional supervision. Accordingly I must insist that attempting to do so is dangerous.

Try to do it. If you fall down, try again. People want you to think in a certain way and this sport actually allows you to push your horizons further.
